Freezer Paper Love

For almost a year I have been reading about Freezer paper stenciling and how AMAZING it is. Finally, I had the perfect project to try it on. ( Along with a working printer now)

I had seen this shirt at the GAP for Bristol.

I loved it because really her best friend and Valentine is our dog. They are buds.  ( Not sure Gage would agree with this statement.)

I thought this shirt would be perfect for Bristol AND she could wear it after Valentines day. I just really didn't want to spend $20 bucks on a ANOTHER t-shirt for B. ( I just noticed its now down to $15.99) Anyway... I decided Freezer paper and I were gonna have a date.

Their are TONS of great tutorials out there on how this works. I followed along with this one on "Make it and Love It." I thought it was easy and straight forward.

So I rounded up a white long sleeved t-shirt that I got from Wal-Mart for $1.00 and went to town. Of course I decided to add some "flair" by glitter-izing it. :)

Im pretty happy how it turned out. A few things:
1. Dont shake the glitter off until you are SURE the paint is dry. Your hearts will run and you will get glitter where you dont want it.
2. Dont get so excited about your Freezer Stenciling that you forget to put something under your shirt as you paint your puppy dog black. Because you MAY end up with a black puppy on your ironing board. :(
Other than that I would say Freezer Stenciling is just as awesome as everyone claimed. :)
Here is the silhouette templet I used for the puppy if any of you want to try it. Make sure when you print you make it smaller because its a 8x10 size originally.
