I had a few ideas for my "Mom" project but I really am on a mission to organize my home since it is where I spend 90% of my time.
I like to be organized- it helps me function better. Both Matt and I claim to have been extremely organized people before we were married. Now wouldn't you think that once we were married two "very" organized people would create one organized home? Wrong. Instead we now have one disorganized home. Not sure how that equation works. :) ANYWAY, on my quest to re-claim our house I decided to make little labels for these mason jars in my craft area.
Mason Jars ( or really any kinda of container you want)
Chalkboard paint
Sponge brush
Frog tape ( My Dad introduced me to this stuff and it works SO much better than regular painters tape if you want a crisp line)
Next, paint your area. Mine ( since it was on glass) took a few coats. Make sure each coat is dry before applying the next.
I did this project in less than a hour ( including drying times.) I love it because if your container changes purposes all you have to do is erase!
Have a great Thursday and we have one more guest tomorrow I am super excited for! :)

I was always organised, having hubby and kids just ruins any attempt at organisation!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, I got some cute jars just waiting to be jazzed up, might try this, thanks for sharing!
i love this idea! i just plain ol' love chalkboard paint. and about the organized thing...kids have a way of making you feel unorganized!!
ReplyDeleteI know- I think in B's short 18 months she has accumulated enough stuff to be on "Hoarders- Buried Alive!" :)
